American manufacturer Ford is preparing for entering series production in a couple of months with the new 2015 Ford F-150. For that matter, the model was walking around Detroit all proud for the jealousy of the audience. There is also a pre-production version of the model equipped with an aluminum body which has managed to reduce the total weight by 700 lbs. The styling cues have been borrowed from the Atlas concept which has been released for the public at the North American International Auto Show last year. The specialists offer the new F-150 now in five trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum, so that the ones interested in the model have their options. The XL version comes with a 4.2-inch audio / climate display and a 2.3-inch message center in the instrument cluster.
The XTL receives chrome bumpers, a chrome grille and also 17-inch aluminum wheels. The Lariat version includes LED bed lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels and a rearview camera. Moving on, we have the King Ranch that comes with two-tone exterior and a special chrome grille with a body color mesh insert. On the inside it comes with heated and cooled front seats and heated steering wheel.
The Platinum will be equipped with a satin finish grille and 20-inch aluminum wheels. Under the hood, the engineers have placed a V6 2.7-liter EcoBoost unit, a V6 3.5-liter EcoBoost, a V6 3.5-liter and a larger V8 5.0-liter Ti-VCT as well. With all these options, the carmaker also offers a 6-speed automatic transmission to transfer the output to the wheels. Deliveries fro the new Ford F-150 will start this fall.
