Ford Mustang GT Coupe Concept

American carmaker Ford has big plans for the future and to be more precise, the specialists are looking to present a new Ford Mustang. The model will be available in 2014 as a 2015 model. The moment of the launch will match the 50th anniversary of the car. The styling of the Ford Mustang GT Coupe Concept increases heart beatings with its bodywork and the retro throwbacks. The big question for the American carmaker is which direction to choose. They have the possibility to pick so of the past elements offered to their models or, there is the possibility of a fresh start, throwing away the past characteristics and choose new ones.

For the customers that are already used with some of the Ford features, will try to maintain some of the familiar cues, but to offer a futuristic look adding the Post-Kinetic design language. To make a better idea, here is a render that uses the latest design language of Ford from current concept and production models. Rumors say the new Ford Mustang GT Coupe Concept will have a lot of elements borrowed from the Evos concept from last year. This might mean, the scallops in the doors are deeper and rear haunches are more curvaceous. This way we have the impression we are looking at a GT40.

In the front, the model features an exaggerated border that leads down from the headlights and onto the lower bumper, but also keeps the classic look. The grille was modified having a staple trapezoidal outline. This characteristic is common on the current passenger car lineup developed by the American carmaker. So far, this is all we know. All we have to do now is wait and see what happens.
