The well known Mustang is celebrating 50 years as a pace car and to do so, the specialists have decided to make a discovery at the Michigan International Speedway. We are in fact talking about the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang which was built as a tribute to 50 years of continuous production, which can only be really impressive. The expected event will take place on the 15th of June and this is when we will have the opportunity to see the model built for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race.
The driver at the event will be the Ford President of the Americans, Joe Hinrichs. In order to be more spectacular, the engineers have equipped the car with LED light bar, racing livery and or course, special decals especially for the 50th anniversary. Under the hood, the model hides a 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of generating 420 BHP and 390 lb. ft. of torque. The rear-wheel-drive Mustang also comes with the iconic long hood, short rear deck lid proportions, but also with low, wide stance borrowed from its predecessors.
The specialists have also provided state-of-the-art engineering and technology therefore we are more than sure the public will definitely enjoy it. Moving on, we also have to mention the fact that the new 2015 Mustang GT is an independent rear suspension engineered especially for the new platform and for this car. The ones managing this project did not forget about the all-new state-of the art front suspension. As soon as the model will hit the showrooms, it will also be available with a 3.7-liter V6 unit and with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost.
