Sports cars keep remaining the most impressive products on the auto field. And one of the most innovative sports cars producers is definitely McLaren. The company has just introduced in New York Auto Show their fabulous McLaren 570S Coupe.
The McLaren 570S Coupe quite resembles the 650S model as it has the same carbon fiber monocoque and twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine. With this setup, McLaren officials state that the engine has 30% new components and it is able to generate 570 HP (419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). This is translated into a 3.2 seconds time until reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) and into a maximum of 204 mph (328 km/h). Fuel consumption in the combined cycle stands at 9.2 liters / 100 km (25.5 mpg US or 30.6 mpg UK), with 258 g/km of CO2 emissions.
The McLaren 570S coupe weighs 2,895 lbs (1,313 kg), with the weight being distributed 42:58 and it has a lot of styling elements in common with the 650S or the P1 models. The supercar sits on 19-inch alloys wrapped around 225/35/R19 rubbers combined with 20-inch rear wheels covered in 285/35 R20 tires. The 570S comes equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, front and rear anti-roll bars and a new front and rear suspension with adaptive dampers. The vehicle should cost somewhere around £143,250 in the USA.
