When a certain number of years pass by and the models obtain the success they’re after, celebrating is in order. And what way to celebrate is better than creating a special car edition? During the last 35 years, Mercedes G-class
has been improved once in a while and modern features were added to the exterior design, the interior of the vehicle as well and let’s not forget about the improvements of the tech features. For some time now, every five years their success is celebrated with a new edition. They’re practically starting to build a tradition.
So the idea this year, when the lucky 35 is eulogized, is to give the fans the opportunity of admiring a 1988 model, with 850,000 km on the road. Besides, Mercedes planned the release of a special `Edition 35` which is represented by the G350 BlueTec and G500 models. The prices have been set to start in Germany from €84,900 (€101,030 with 19% VAT/Tax) for G350 BlueTEC
, and from €94,800 (€112,812 with 19% VAT/Tax) for the V8-powered G500.
The customers can pick a version in three colors because the models come in Palladium Silver metallic paint finishes, or the beautiful Obsidian Black metallic. Also, if you want a pure alluring magic of white, you can choose the Designo Mystic White Bright. Other features include the 18-inch alloy wheels, exterior mirrors and the roof painted in gloss black. The buyers can also enjoy front and rear bumpers and wheel arch linings. If you take a look inside, you’ll see the seats are upholstered at the customer’s choice with two-tone Designo Porcelain/Black and single-tone Designo Black leather surfaces with red contrast stitching.
The interior of the models also have chrome accents, a dashboard which is covered in leather and an AMG performance steering wheel. We learned it has a sports exhaust for the G500
and a Chrome kit for the grille and spare wheel cover. Inside of the car you will find a Designo trim in black piano lacquer and a Designo microfiber roof liner. There is also a standard package which includes the AMG sports package with flared wheel arches.
