Mercedes-Benz is one of Europe’s greatest automakers. This is due partly to the intense competition between the German brands and of course because of the company’s desire to score as many points as possible in its favour. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a well known lineup of the brand. And now it is a sure fact that the manufacturer will add a new member to the S family. This is the Mercedes S600.
The Mercedes S600 will come out as a 2015 year model and it has just been presented at the NAIAS. The luxurious vehicle will exclusively have a long-wheelbase model that is nicely equipped with the LED Intelligent Light System, Magic Body Control and a Driving Assistance Plus package that includes Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist - among other things.
The Mercedes S600 is powered by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. Performance specifications are not available yet but Mercedes confirmed the model has a start/stop system which allows it to average 11.1 L/100 km (21.1 mpg US / 25.4 mpg UK). This is a vehicle that offers the best when it comes to technology and design, being the true essence of luxury. It will most likely be a hit on the market.
