Porsche introduces the new 911 Carrera
GTS models and they look great. The exterior design of the Porsche vehicles has always had a retro aspect mixed with a modern one. It’s a complex look which is appealing.
So, Porsche comes with a coupe version and a convertible one, both looking good. The models are borrowing features from both 911 Carrera S and the 911 GT3 and they come with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Even if they have got common elements with the 911 Carrera S
and the 911 GT3
, the two 2015 models are characterized by distinctive feature as well. For instance, the back of the cars can be easily recognized by the black trim strips on the customized GTS air intake and black chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes.
If you are wondering about the standard equipment, learn it is made up of Bi-Xenon™ headlights with PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Light System), and also the Sport exhaust system. The engine of both models delivers 430 HP and it comes from the Carrera S Powerkit which has got the Sport Exhaust package and the Sport Chrono. The interior of the sports models is decorated by Alcantara. If you take one look you will see the decorating products are of high quality. The models are sports cars, so another feature is that they come with PASM active damper system, which makes it possible for the versions to be brought to the ground 10 mm closer. The new models also come with gloss black 20-inch center lock wheels and tinted Bi-Xenon headlights.
Thanks to the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung dual-clutch transmission), it takes 3.8 seconds for the 911 Carrera GTS to reach 60 miles. The convertible reaches the same 60 miles in 4.0 seconds and depending on drivetrain and transmission, they both reach a top speed which varies from 187 miles to 190 miles per hour. By the end of December this year, the models will be available for the customers, who will be able to purchase the 911 Carrera GTS convertible for a starting price of $126,100 and the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS for the price of $114,200.
