The New York Auto Show is under floodlight these days. It is the place where an auto lover can find everything. And of course Porsche branded vehicles can’t miss from the equation. The respectable German car manufacturer presented their amazing Porsche Boxster Spyder in the Big Apple.
The Porsche Boxster Spyder is the most extreme and fabulous Boxster in this generation. It is powered by a six-cylinder 3.8-liter engine that generates 375 HP (276 kW) and this should be enough power to ensure a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint done in just 4.5 seconds and a 180 mph (290 km/h) maximum speed. The Spyder also borrows some elements from its relative, the Cayman GT4.
The Porsche Boxster Spyder will only be available with a six-speed manual gearbox. The breaking power is provided by high-performance brakes borrowed from the 911 Carrera. It also features a 20mm lowered sports suspension and a bespoke lightweight soft top which is partially manually operated. If the front and rear end look familiar to you it’s because they are inspired by the same Cayman GT4. The supercar will enter the market this July with a starting price of €79,945 in Germany.
