It was about time now, for Subaru to take off the covers of its new 2015 WRX during the 2013 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. As expected, the high-performance version of the Impreza is more powerful than ever, not mention it is so easy to handle. Under the hood, the model hides a 2.0liter direct-injection turbocharged boxer engine capable of generating 268 horsepower which means it is only 3 horsepower more powerful than the outgoing model.
The new achievement coming from Subaru replaces the 2014 WRX equipped with a 2.5-liter unit which has a 6-speed manual transmission offered as standard to transfer the output to the wheels. As optional, the model will also come with an optional Sport Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission that has two manual modes. The engine if the new model is capable of delivering 258 lb. ft. of torque which enables the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds thanks to the new 6-speed manual transmission as well. In terms of fuel consumption we have to mention that the new model registers 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. As you can see the 2015 WRX has a wide body kit and big air intake on the bonnet.
To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered as standard 17-inc wheels and special unique elements like the hood, rear doors and quarters, front fenders, bumper, headlights and a lot more. The new model is easier to handle thanks to the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. It is also easier for cornering now tanks to stiffer chassis, performance-tuned suspension and larger brakes just to be sure everything is in order.
