Last year we had the opportunity to see the new 2015 Subaru WRX and also the more aggressive STI counterpart at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show and 2014 Detroit Auto Show respectively. The carmaker has confirmed the official prices for the entire series actually and it is now getting ready for the North American market launch which will take place this spring. The fist model we have to mention is the base WRX which receives power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of generating 268 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. This incredible output enables the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. The model sends the power to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.
The price has been established to start at $26.295, which actually excludes $795 destination fee. Moving on, we also have to mention the slower CVT model which has a starting price of $29.695 excluding destination fee. This is being offered in two trims, Premium and Limited. The carmaker has equipped all models with a 4.3-inch multi-information central display, a rear parking camera, an audio system with a CD and MP3/WMA capability and, as expected, an automatic climate control offered as standard.
The 2015 Subaru WRX STI receives power from a 2.5-liter turbo boxer unit capable of developing 305 horsepower and 290 lb. ft. of torque. This output is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The starting price has been established to start at $34.495 excluding the destination charge. Just for a limited time, Subaru will produce 1.000 units of the WRX STI Launch Edition priced from $37.395. This model will come in WB Blue Pearl paint with gold painted 18-inch BBS alloy wheels.
