The Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup truck manufactured in the US by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota since May 1999. The Tundra was not only the first full-size pickup to be built by a Japanese manufacturer, but was also nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award and was Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year in 2000 and 2008. Currently the Tundra is assembled in San Antonio, Texas, USA where trucks serve many purposes and have become an integral part of the state's culture.
The 2015 Toyota Tundra will be powered either by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 310 bhp (231 kW) and 327 lb-ft (443 Nm) of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 engine that develops 381 bhp (284 kW) and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque. As you can see, the Japanese have not used the 4.0-liter V6 engine.
The Toyota Tundra features a new under seat storage tray on select Double Cab models and a newly optional spray-in bed liner. The models powered by the 5.7-liter V8 engine and the Tow Package will also include a newly optional Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC). The Tundra TRD Pro will be added. The vehicle comes equipped with a front skid plate, a revised grille and a 2-inch front lift. The model also features a retuned suspension and an upgraded interior - among other things. The price of the Tundra begins at $28,410.
