Volkswagen Jetta

Volkswagen is for sure one of the most important car manufacturers in Germany and in the entire world. And it is quite a busy company, always developing all kinds of new projects. Volkswagen is known as a brand for every person. The prices of the VW cars are not very high comparing to those manufactured by other brands. Maybe this is one of the reasons why it has become a global movement and among the brand’s most faithful markets is the U.S. market. And this is exactly where the new Volkswagen Jetta will have its official debut. More specifically, the debut will happen at the New York Auto Show.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is very similar to the previous generation. However, it is distinguished by a Passat like front fascia, including bi-xenon headlights and strips LED daytime running lights. At the back there are a few modifications such as an updated trunk lid with a ducktail spoiler together with LED taillights for the GLI and Hybrid versions. The 2015 Jetta has been aerodynamically-optimized thanks to the upgraded body, modified rain gutters near the A-pillars and the modified underbody panels. The tires used are 205/55 r16, 225/45 r17 and 225/40 r18. And these are about all noticeable changes that occur on the exterior.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta received some minor changes on the inside. It now has mid and high end trims with chromed edges for the dash and gauges, a new multi-function steering wheel, new air vent controls and piano black accents. There are also new seat fabric colors and designs, ambient lightning and additional chrome accents available.

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta keeps the same PQ35 platform (Golf V). It also borrows the same engine configurations, being based on the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine which now generates 150 bhp (112 kW), this meaning a 10 bhp (7 kW) increase. In this configuration the manual-equipped sedan will do 32 mpg city / 45 highway / 37 combined. The vehicle will enter U.S. sales in the second half of 2014. Till then, we will get to admire it beginning with the N.Y. Auto Show which is about to start.
