The new Volkswagen Scirocco
got a review from Carbuyer. The changes are signaled out but also the uncomfortable stuff. For instance, if you are a passenger and not the one driving, the back seats are not so comfy if you are a tall person. Also, there are two seats in the back so if you’re thinking getting someone else so you have three persons in the back of the car it’s not a good idea. We learned that 75 percent of all Volkswagen Sciroccos from the current generation have under the hood only diesel engines. It seems weird since the vehicle is intended to be sportier than the Golf. This new Scirocco received a facelift and there has been released a video with the details of the change. Mat Watson is the one who takes it for a ride and notices the new styling accessories which make this model different. Out of the available engine models, Mat Watson says it’s better to pick one of the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engines, the type of engine delivering 220PS (217HP). This choice would be more appropriate for those who think the Scirocco R
’s 280PS (276hp) and its firmer suspension are not so advantageous.
One of the minuses is the not so good visibility, Mat Watson saying that it’s a bit dark inside and when you try to look out the back you can’t see as much as you’d expect. Also, it’s not so exciting to drive even though you can find easily every command you want. The reviewer prefers, regarding the matter of driving, a normal hot-hatch and he’s wondering why would anyone prefer the Volkswagen Scirocco
and not the Golf GTI. This latter has a sportier look and although the exterior design of the new Scirocco has a sexy image, it’s better for the customers to choose the Golf GTI. The reviewer suspects that if anyone chose the Volkswagen Scirocco that would be thanks to its looks. It has new LEDs and the rear of the car received a more athletic look. All in all, the car looks fine and if you don’t care about the not so many advantages the interior offers, you could buy it and show off.
