It’s time for you to find out the latest news coming from the most important German auto manufacturer. The facelift version of the Volkswagen Sharan has been revealed today. There are little modifications regarding the exterior of the vehicle comparing it to its older relative. The new elements are new LED taillights, Jakarat alloy wheels and some fresh painting schemes such as Crimson Red Metallic or Hudson Bay Blue Metallic.
The Volkswagen Sharan facelift has received an all Euro 6-compliant engine lineup. When talking about the gasoline units we mention a 1.4 TSI generating 150 HP (110 kW) and a 2.0 TSI outputting 220 HP (162 kW) while on the diesel side there is a 1.6 TDI producing 115 HP (85 kW) and a couple of 2.0 TDIs squeezing 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). They are all linked to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard but an optional six-speed DSG is available for all of them, with the exception of the 1.6 TDI unit.
The strongest point in the Volkswagen Sharan facelift is the improved safety and assistance system that consists of standard Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. For some extra money, the 2015 Sharan can receive Front Assist with integrated City Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and third generation Park Assist. There is also a new infotainment system offering support for Apple Car Play, Google Android Auto. There are more options to choose from: a 5-inch Composition Color, 6.5-inch Composition Media and the more expensive 6.5-inch Discovery Media with navigation. MirroLink support also comes with the package with faster processors which have made the systems quicker in touchscreen operation, route calculation as well as when booting up. The vehicle will be exhibited in Geneva, too.
