Porsche Cayenne Turbo S revealed in Detroit

The Detroit Auto Show this year brought a lot of new models and more than one came from Porsche. One of the models presented is the new Cayenne Turbo S, the top model is the sporty SUV model series. Under the hood it hides a 4.8-liter V8 biturbo engine capable of generating 570 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The engine is more powerful thanks to the integral turbochargers which are placed now in the exhaust manifolds which improves combustion. In comparison to the previous engine, the new one offers 20 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque extra. This enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and to reach a top speed of 284 km/h. For extra safety, the engineers have equipped the model with standard Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes and also the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control which reduces side tilt when driving through curves early on. We also have to mention the all wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management which leads the front wheels. Thanks to all these new elements, the new SUV makes driving more dynamic and agile.

To transfer the power to the wheels, the model has received 21-inch wheels with 911 Turbo design, LED headlights, full leather interior with the Porsche logo and also carbon accents. On the outside, designers have offered air inlet surroud at the front of the car painted in high-gloss black. The roof spoiler and the wheel arch have the same color as the car. As optional, you can also get a sport exhaust system which comes with a switchable sound symposer. In case you are one of the ones interested in owning one of these cars, you should know that the carmaker is making it available on the German market starting with the 2nd quarter on this year. The price was established at EUR166.696 including all taxes.
