Ford Fusion Hydrogen has broken the record for speed

Entering the record books as the world’s fastest hydrogen fuel-cell auto, the Ford Fusion Hydrogen 999 sedan’s record speed was 207.297mph. The record was achieved with the concurring forces of a small team from Ford, the Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research, Ballard Power Systems and Roush Racing. Rick Byrnes, Bonneville racer and retired Ford Powertrain component design engineer, made this possible in Bonneville.

Ten tears of research done by Ford in the field of clean and renewable fuels have payed: the 770hp electric motor, on hydrogen fuel cells, that has broken the records has shown that electric models can reach high performances.
