GM will take the right hand drive CTS globally

The Cadillac CTS 2008 model is being crowned as the best American vehicle in 40 years by the automotive nation journalists. Now GM wants to take this success overseas.

The UAW strike threatened on cutting the production of the upcoming right-hand drive CTS, which is being made at GM`s factory in Lansing – Michigan. The domestic autos had already hit production targets in the week before the grand walkout. Now that employees have returned, GM perhaps will reach its goal by selling 60,000 CTS sedans in the whole world, in 2008, having the capacity of building more.

The targeted markets for the right-hand drive Caddy model include South Africa and Australia; both are new markets for CTS. A long time has passed since Cadillac made a vehicle worthy of a global scale competition, but GM believes CTS is a winner.
