Renault will launch the first of several sports autos inspired by the popular Alpines in 2010.
The Alpine was made between 1960 and 1995; there were always rumors about the come back of the Alpine name.
Patrick Blain – sales and marketing chief said in an interview with the Automobilwoche: `We are planning sports cars again for the future. They are expected to demonstrate Renault`s capacity for engineering performance`.
Renault is not sure about the name, but probably they will go by `Alpine` to brand it.
Blain added that the new auto will be a `radical sports car`, not just a sports variant of a regular one.
Renault will debut 26 new models by late 2009.
