McLaren`s 2008 vehicle, having the drive Lewis Hamilton and a mysterious teammate, will be unveiled in `the second week of January`. Ron Dennis – the team boss divulged the info on Saturday afternoon at equity and partner Mercedes-Benz`s `Cars and Stars` season`s end event in Stuttgart. This January release day is a few weeks after the FIA scrutineers present the report about the single seater legality, as for ruling of the World Motor Sport Council at the beginning of the year in this espionage saga.
The FIA is to consider the matter and scrutineers` report on December 7 at a meeting.
`We will do everything we possibly can to make sure that neither of the McLarens has any element of Ferrari intellectual property in it. Or, if it does, we will then have to consider taking some sort of action` FIA President Max Mosley affirmed recently.
A spokesperson for McLaren reacted: `We have no comment other than that we will cooperate fully with the FIA`.
`We are very optimistic that we will again be very competitive` said Dennis.
Dennis added: `We are a team, and if someone does not want to play his team role, then he should not be part of the team`.
