Nissan recalling 650 000 autos

Nissan announced a recall of 650,000 autos. The recall — affecting the 2002 and the 2005-06 Altima and Sentra vehicles equipped with four-cylinder 2.5L engine — is due to the faulty position crankshaft sensor which overheat and stop (briefly) sending signals. This interruption could be the cause of the control module stopping the engine, growing the chance of a crush. Nissan will start informing the owners on the 10th of December.
