The new version of 2009 Mini Convertible will bring the open version in line with the updated hatchback range that’s been on the market for more than an year now- the model will be launched, as rumored, late next year and its price will start somewhere at £15000. The Convetible seems to be more spacious, the cabin will not be that tight anymore and the lenght of the car has increased slightly.

Mini Convertible will be available in four different versions: first one has a 1.4 liter engine that delivers 95 hp and a peak torque of 103 lbs-ft; another version of Cooper powered by a 1.6 liter engine that delivers 120 hp and 118 lbs-ft; Cooper S powered by a 1.6 liter engine with a maximum hit of 175 hp and a peak torque of 177 hp and the diesel version: Cooper D powered by a 1.6 liter engine with 110 hp and 177 lbs-ft of torque. There will be the option of stiffened sports suspension to tighten up the already great handling and also a stop/ start technology offered by the engines in order to make driving as efficient as possible.
