New sports car from Jaguar

To go back in the Jaguar’s history, back to 2000 we have to remind you how much excitment the F-Type Concept caused back then and at its first presentation at the Detroit Auto Show, the officials actually decided to put the car into production the very year of 2000. However, short after the sales decreased and the carmaker was in million dollar loss and in addition, the plans for another exotic flagship like the F-Type were dropped in favor of the mass market X-Type sedan.

As we come back to present years, the company was put out for sale and the owner is expected to be announced officialy next month and hopefully, more funds will revive the company’s work and we shall see new Jaguar concepts hit the market shortly after. In the present, it is claimed that a replacement for the XJ flagship as well as the high-performance XF-R and XK-R models are in plans for the near future, but the next one to see production line is rumored to be the original F-Type Concept. The model seems to be a two-seated sports car and following the tradition of the 50s and 60s models, it would be a very high performance sports coupe that could rival the 911. In order to reduce the costs of production, the vehicle could be built off a shortened XJ platform and share the same supercharged V8 engines with the recently launched XF range.
