Hyundai Genesis will not wear the company's logo

Unlike most luxury cars which always are adorned very proud with the carmaker’s logo on the grille or hood, the Hyundai Genesis will not wear the company’s logo at all on the new luxury sedan- the annoucement was made public this week. It seems that the decision was taken after the Detroit autoshow, where there have been presented two versions of the Genesis model- one wearing the logo and one without it. As the reaction was more positive towards the one without the Hyundai logo, the carmakers decided to put this version into the production line. According to Automotive News, the decision was disclosed by the Hyundai’s vice-president of product development several days ago, in Chicago.

There are rumors which say that the decision of ommiting the logo of the company was taken due to the fact that usually Hyundai nameplate is being associated with economy cars so this time, they wanted to bring out a luxury car and to shun the imagine of economy cars as much as possible. Some even say that a new Hyundai luxury brand is in plans, but so far, nothing has been materialized and there are no official news about this matter.
