CTS-V Coupe by Cadillac is on the work

After unveiling the CTS-V Sedan model and confirming the debut of the CTS Coupe, the obvious next step was the amazing CTS-V Coupe. The production variant of the CTS Coupe Concept will arrive in 2009 as a 2010 unit year. The production car won’t be too far away from the concept you saw in Detroit, but a little toned down meeting production standards. So, basically on the production vehicle, all the metal ahead of A-pillar will be quite identical to the one on the CTS sedan.

Engine spec wise, we heard that Cadillac CT Coupe Concept was designed to be accommodating an area of engines including the popular 3.6L V6 Direct Injection and the all-new 2.9L turbo-diesel that’s currently in development. The auto is now under development with the code-name GMX226 and it will be rolling down on the assembly line at the Lansing Grand River plant for GM in 2009.

The CTS-V variant will be powered by the 6.2L LSA V8 supercharged engine that will produce 500 hp. This really will be a serious competitor for the M3 Coupe at BMW.
