The V8 GT Concept by Aston Martin

The design of V8 GT Concept by Aston Martin was made by Adam Gompertz. The sketch development has concentrated on keeping a few elements of the V8 Vantage, especially the side strake running through the body side, and rear bumper surface. But, at the same time, there was a true desire to create a brand new identity, with harder edges, plus more muscular forms. The V8 GT Concept model is inspired by old cars from Aston Martin, like the DB3S and DB4 GT Zagato.

Major inspiration for the project came from DB3S. The sharp makes lines on the top of those wings lend that auto a feeling that under that muscular bodywork, are tendons that stretches over the wheels.

The DB3S serves also as pointer to this concept philosophy. A sportscar having a clear purpose: to be enhancing the Aston Martin racing tradition. A lighter, faster, lot more focused, bespoke Aston Martin.
