2008 Tiguan 2.0 TDI by Volkswagen

The strongest Tiguan model yet, equipped with an all-new TDI 170 PS 2.0-litre common rail diesel engine has been released for ordering now. Combining bigger torque than a Golf GTI unit with the efficiency, the lower emissions and the refinement you would expect from some modern diesel, the Tiguan vehicle strikes a balance between economy and performance.

This brand new common rail engine is capable to develop a maximum of 258 lbs ft torque through a six-speed manual gearbox. And as with the rest of the Tiguan area the new engine will now route drive via an advanced 4MOTION system that can divert up to 100 % of drive to any kind of wheel depending on the available traction.

The increases in power and torque too don’t come with the sacrifice of either performance or economy. The new engine’s capable in returning 40.4 mpg on the mixed cycle emitting 185 g/km of CO2. As you’d expect probably from the strongest Tiguan to date the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan 170 PS 2.0 TDI Gallery: Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI 170 PS assures also that it is the fastest. The auto can accelerate from rest up to 62 mph in only 8.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 125 mph.
