Audi revealed the brand new Q5 in China at the Auto Show in Beijing, a SUV that mixes the dynamism of a sports sedan model with highly variable interior and some versatile options for family use and leisure-time.
The dimensions indicate that this really is a SUV of all-new proportions. It measures 4.63 meters (15.19 feet) long, 1.88 meters (6.17 feet) wide, so the Audi Q5 is only 1.65 meters (5.41 feet) high – this makes it sportier than all its competitors. More, this SUV sets a different benchmark in its class having a low drag coefficient of 0.33.
Audi Q5 is rolling off now the production line on three engine versions – one gasoline engine plus two TDI models. All of these engines are direct-injection units with a turbocharger – that’s characterized by outstanding performance, cultivated running and hefty propulsive power while at the same time giving impressive fuel efficiency.
The strongest engine in this line-up is the 3.0 TDI. The V6 diesel engine makes a gratifying 176 kW (240 hp), having 500 Nm (368.78 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. With the outstanding power flow plus cultivated sound, it’s taking the Audi Q5 from 0 - 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in only 6.5 seconds, accelerating to a maximum speed of 225 km/h (139.81 mph). At average, the three-liter engine model consumes 7.7 liters fuel per 100 km (30.55 mpg).
