Nissan reveals Teana sedan

Nissan has officially unveiled its Teana sedan at the 2008 Motor Show in Beijing. The Teana model was previewed there by the Intima concept at the 2007 Motor Show in Tokyo and is slated to reach the market in China later on this summer.

Despite being Chinese model, Teana will share a platform similar with Nissans in other parts of this world — such as the Murano, Altima and Maxima.

Stylistically, Teana shares many of the design elements found on the Intima concept car — such as an overall design front fascia and kick-up at the bottom of those C-pillar — but ditches the show auto's suicide doors plus LED headlights.

This front-wheel drive sedan unit will run with a 2.0L four-cylinder, 2.5L four-cylinder and the famed 3.5L V6, from Nissan, all mated to a CVT transmission. Teana will come also in two trim-levels, base plus up-level XV.
