Ford built its 9 millionth Mustang

Ford announced today that it has built the 9 millionth Mustang. This GT Convertible Mustang`s heading west delivered to a Iowa dealership. The Ford Mustang model, approaching the 45th anniversary on April 17th, 2009, one of the most widely recognized cars in the world. Today, one of two sports autos sold in USA is a Ford Mustang. This Mustang is Motor Company’s longest-running Ford nameplate also. Mustang was introduced in 1964, on April 17, at the World’s Fair in New York.

Mustang sales hit the astounding 419,000 in the first 12 months at the market, and topped 1-million in the first two years, shattering all the sales records of every single unit in the automobile’s history. Mustang leads the almost $1-billion aftermarket accessories and parts industry as the most personalized car of all time, plus has been recognized by the SEMA as being the most accessory-friendly new auto.

The 2009 Mustang is offering a Glass Roof option and a brand new Warriors in Pink Package, that will be available this summer.
