Nissan will be boosting Altima production

The best sales month in all history for the Nissan Altima model, Nissan North America, Inc., announced that it will modify the production at its Canton, Miss., auto assembly factory to meet buyer demand.

To meet all the needs of the marketplace, some additional shift of Altima unit production will be added to the auto system at the Canton factory.

Nissan North America had record May sales of 34,428 models for Altima Sedan, Hybrid and Coupe, that's up 38.3 percent if we compare it to the prior year.

“With flexibility built into our systems, we’re able to quickly adapt to the changing landscape of the marketplace,” said Bill Krueger, the senior vice president at Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, and Total Customer Satisfaction for Americas at Nissan North America, Inc. “Nissan Altima is extremely popular with customers that demand durability, quality and fuel-efficiency and our systems are well designed to meet that growing demand.”
