For the Pontiac G5 2009 is offering more power plus better economy of fuel, this thanks to a Ecotec 2.2 liter engine delivering 155 hp plus has a 37 mpg fuel economy.

The G5 model is available in the base and GT autos, all marked with clean lines, spacious, 5-passenger interior and basic rear spoiler.

The G5 presented safety features last year, like side-impact head curtain air bags and General Motors’ tire pressure monitoring standard system. For ’09, passenger sensing system will be added, complementing the basic frontal dual-stage air bags.

New for this ’09 G5 lineup also is the Bluetooth connectivity addition having the OnStar system (now standard on every unit). This wireless high tech enables the hands-free phone calls for more convenient, safer connections.

Two new colors on the exterior are added now to the palette of G5: Quicksilver Metallic / Silver Green Metallic (Nitrous Blue Metallic / Titanium Metallic are retired); plus an all-new interior color mix is added: leather-appointed seating Ebony/Red - available on GT units.

“With the new 2.2L engine, the 2009 G5 is a great-looking, low-priced coupe that delivers fuel economy that pushes it to the top of its segment,” said Susan Docherty, the vice president at Buick-Pontiac-GMC. “It is an uncompromising choice for customers who want style, convenience and great mileage at an affordable price.”
