Glimpses of the Infiniti G37 Convertible 2009

Infiniti released a first image of the upcoming Convertible G37, expected to be on sale in the U.S. in early next year. Based on the well known G37 Coupe unit, the drop-top one will have unique treatment on the interior and a folding metal roof.

The Convertible G37 will have a 3-piece hardtop, keeping a coupe-like design on the roofline, says the automaker. The only picture of this car so far shows it having the top down, remaining to be seen now how much of this coupe’s roofline gets place on the convertible.
The G37 convertible model will be marking the first drop top from Infiniti since that M30 convertible – that was discontinued on 1992, made famous with the movie Three Kings — plus will lead inevitably to this question ‘Does Lexus make this model?’.

This car will be sharing, as expected, the same V6 3.7L that's used on the G37 coupe, producing 328 horsepower. The 2009 upgrades across this line will include also an all-new 7-speed automatic transmission optional, a sport brake package optional, brand new 18-inch wheels design and basic Scratch Shield paint.
