The Italian design house of automotive that, most recently, has penned Ferrari California, revealed some custom-bodied auto over this weekend made for a rich collector. Based on the mechanicals and chassis of the Phantom Drophead Coupe Rolls Royce, the auto is called the Hyperion.
The last time when Pinninfarina undertook a project like this was with Enzo-based P4/5 in 2006.
Hyperion will be powered by the same V12 6.75-liter engine under the Drophead Coupe's expansive hood, which produces 453 horsepower plus 531lb-ft torque. The auto is inspired by the pre-war era vehicles, so Hyperion has lots of curves on the package. Hyperion was revealed earlier this week in California at the Pebble Beach Concours and will be presented in Paris in October at the Mondial de l’Automobile show. Comment this news on the forum!
