On a changing car climate, Cadillac is entering the 2009 having the much-wanted hybrid, that is the first on the big luxury SUV class also. 2009 is introducing a brand new luxury Platinum Edition also with more segment-first high techs.
The Escalade lineup has integrated powertrain, safety, interior systems and delivering the most efficient, powerful luxury SUV models on the area, led by a all-aluminum V-8 engine 6.2L having variable valve timing tech producing 403 hp plus 417 lb.-ft. torque. This 6.2L engine has been now revised, using renewable ethanol E85, making this a flex-fuel auto for the first time.
The Platinum edition features a blend of high tech aesthetic and innovations enhancements. The exterior has some unique front fascia plus grille patterned from after the sport sedan CTS. The Platinum presents unique 22-inch wheels plus wears exclusive exterior Platinum badges.
“The Platinum Edition extends Escalade’s continuing status as the large luxury SUV of choice for top consumers,” said Jim Taylor, the Cadillac general manager. “Escalade Platinum offers even more dramatic design and technology, the pillars of Cadillac’s overall renaissance”.
