Chevrolet for 50 years has been using this Impala name. With faith that the customers will be recognizing the name associated with usable, dependable family sedans. So, Chevy debuted the Impala 2009 with new basic safety features like thorax side-impact air bags plus safety belt pretensioners for front-seat lap belts.
Impala's available in 4 trims: LT, LS, LTZ plus the sporty SS.
The V6 engines of Impala are fuel-efficient like they are sophisticated. The V6 3.5 liter is basic on the Impala LT and LS, producing 211 hp plus 214 lb.-ft. torque – more basic power as main engine than a few key competitors’ top (or just) offering.
Standard on LTZ and the available on LT units is the V-6 3.9L that has FlexFuel E85 capability. The engine is offering more power plus usable torque in its operating area, with 90 % of peak torque that's available from 1,800 - 5,800 rpm. It's rated at 224 hp plus 235 lb.-ft. torque.
“In a very tough segment, the Impala continues to shine as one of its stars,” said Ed Peper, the Chevrolet general manager. “More and more customers are finding the Impala not only offers a value-packed combination of features, but delivers it in a smart, efficient manner”.
