 Aston Martin will have Porsche the Panamera, the Rapide and both firms were quite relaxed because they were kinda the only 4-doors sporty units on the market now. But a brand new competitor is seen on the horizon, coming from the supercar Swedish maker, Koenigsegg. The model will be debuted by 2011, having a concept variant to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010.
The 4-door unit is on development for these past 2 years. Dropping the engine that was found in the CCX model in favor of the V8 - 700bhp. So, it will be made out of carbonfibre entirely – but isn't based at the same architecture like the CCX.
Andreas Petre, Dubai manager for Koenigsegg, the future unit will have a 350 km/h top speed. "The four-door will be slightly cheaper than the CCX, and we hope to build 70-80 cars a year", Petre affirmed. US' expected to be accounting for 50 % of sales, Asia taking 30 % and the Middle East having 20%.
