Dodge Challenger SRT8 Review

Recently debuted, the Dodge Challenger SRT8`s the fastest Challenger that`s available, but apparently this did not impress very much the Hennessey Performance Engineering guys. Although it has 425 hp, Hennessey is thinking the auto needed more power plus having the help of a few new components they now obtained an amazing 620 hp, 650 lb-ft torque.

Everything's possible with this new HPE600 Turbo wrap containing a high-flow ported and polished aluminum cylinder heads, some lowered compression ratio, a high flow air filter, fuel pump upgraded system, front air-to-air intercooler plus a brand new stainless-steel dual exhaust system 3-inch diameter. On the inside Henessey added embroidered front seat head rests, serial numbered dash plaque on interior and the engine compartment, embroidered floor mats, HPE600 logo at tachometer plus speedometer meanwhile on the exterior we see Hennessey and HPE600 badges (exterior) and “Hockey Stick” HPE600 graphics wrap. Everything costing 29,500. dollars, while the Dodge Challenger SRT8 2009 having the complete Turbo HPE600 upgrade begins at 74,950 dollars.

The Challenger does a lot of things very well and the factory SRT8 is a great car to start with,” said John Hennessey, company founder. “Unfortunately, it’s a big car weighing over 4,000 lbs. So, while we can’t remove 800 lbs from the car, we can add another 195 hp.”
