Mercedes will reveal at the Auto Show in Paris the ConceptFASCINATION, concept previewing the upcoming generation E-Class' design. Mercedes placed under the hood an engine that's also on the E-Class Coupe: the all-new 4-cylinder diesel engine having AdBlue and BlueTEC technology developing 204 hp from the 2.2 litres displacement.
Dynamic front-to-rear giving it a dynamical charged aspect, evoking movement when the car is stationary. This impression's emphasised by frameless, long side-window line describing a continuous arc - front to rear, that's uninterrupted by B-pillar. The big load space on the rear's integrated on the auto body cohesively, harmoniously, increasing the length impression , creating a remarkable lightness sense. The side windows of the vehicle can be completely lowered – like every Mercedes-Benz coupe unit – providing uninterrupted view in a stylish way, with fine materials used for the inside.
Dr Dieter Zetsche, the Chairman of the Board of Management at Daimler AG, said: "This design study continues the long tradition of exciting coupés from Mercedes-Benz in impressive style. With its emotionally ap-pealing lines, ConceptFASCINATION offers a completely new interpretation of the coupé. Its aesthetic, dynamic looks and painstakingly crafted details ensure that this study meets the highest design standards". Subscribe to Car news by Email |
