Range Rover Sport 2010 spied

Land Rover brand exchanged hands recently from Ford to the Indian Tata Motors, but it looks like the all-new owners are now moving ahead the Land Rover projects already in works. Apparently the updated Range Rover Sport model was part of the plans and the spy photographer spotted the updated β€˜ute variant.

The last time that we spotted the forthcoming freshening Range Rover Sport unit, it was taking hot laps in Nurburgring, hinting at the above medium SUV performance.

Although signature headlamps remain the same, that front fascia – grille and bumper - is updated now, giving this Range Rover Sport some cleaner, more serious appearance, and more LR2 in line. The back – updates appear very minor – affecting only the bumper trim, lower.

The present Range Rover Sport's powered by the Supercharged 4.2-liter engine, but hiding right beneath the skin of the new prototype model is a brand new V8 5.0-liter diesel engine rumored to be fitted with direct injection and a supercharger. Although the output is a mystery, it is quite possible that the diesel powerplant now could be keeping the performance level meanwhile improving the overall economy of fuel.
