Ford brings 6 European units for the market in US

Cars are getting smaller, but apparently they can get younger too. Ford is now preparing on adding 6 more small autos to the line-up in US in the next 3 years. The units will be attracting a new type of client, Ford hopes at least. This means the carmaker and the dealers must really know serving them.

The 6 units will be: the all-new European Focus 4-door, 5-door and the convertible; the brand new Fiesta; C-Max and the Kuga small crossover models.

Jim Farley, group vice president in marketing and communications at Ford, started some "young leadership" program subcommittee of twenty young dealers or kids of dealers for Ford to study all the operations of present dealerships.

"The key is not so much the physical dealership; it’s the operational business — for example, accessory business," said Farley. "The way we approach the accessory business of this operation is going to be really important."
