 Skoda revealed at the Auto Show in Paris the facelift variant of the successful Octavia unit. The Octavia 2009 has bolder headlamps, newly shaped, robust radiator grille plus one-piece bumper. The rear part innovation is almost all about the new tail lamp covers plus a dynamic bumper having integrated cat eyes.
On the interior has an innovated line - navigation systems and Škoda audio. The steering wheel, dashboard (with white-backlit), air conditioning controls plus decorative strips on doors and central console redesigned. It features new upholstery fabrics, that are available across any equipment levels (Elegance, Classic and Ambiente).
Škoda has an all-new engine 1.4 TSI/90 kW. Turbocharged 1.4 plus 1.8 liter petrol engines, mixed with a automatic DSG 7-speed twin-clutch transmission.
“The Octavia has always had a special position among Škoda vehicles. It is our most successful model, very popular worldwide. Now it has gone through a complete transformation that is apparent in the new interior and exterior, as well as the applied technology,” affirmed Dr. Eckhard Scholz, the BOD Member responsible for the technological development.
