Dodge presenting the Charger Police Edition

Dodge introduced the newest package - Charger police, including the brand new-generation V8 5.7-liter Hemi engine, producing 368 horses plus 395 lb.-ft. torque. Because of the deactivation of cylinder, the Charger unit should now be able to hit 16 city/25 highway fuel rating.

Dodge is claiming that the Charger model is really the only police auto offering best-in-class performance on 4 key categories: acceleration, available power, vehicle dynamics and top speed (although Chevy and Ford have their persuasive arguments probably for their paddy wagons too.) But 1 thing the other 2 domestics ca not claim that's patrolling the Kuwait streets.

“With rear-wheel drive and HEMI power at the pavement, our new 2009 Dodge Charger provides optimum police car pursuit performance,” affirmed Mike Accavitti, the Director of Dodge Brand Marketing. “Dodge has a strong police car heritage, and we are proud to offer a vehicle armed with modern muscle and cutting-edge technology to help law enforcement agencies perform their duties.”

“Our fuel-saving MDS technology functions so smoothly that officers won’t notice when four of the eight cylinders are deactivated, but they’ll always have the power of the V8 when they need it,” said Roxie Thomas, the Senior Manager of Government Sales.
