Lotus Evora SC arriving in 2011

Lotus and engines boosting! A turbocharger unit took Esprit from Porsche 924 competitor to stand beside the 911; a Lotus Elise SC supercharged made the top 10 list for last year. So it isn't surprise finding out Lotus has already plans to do heavy breathing with the all-new Evora model.

The basic Evora already was looking well. Although Toyota-sourced and Lotus-tuned V6 3.5-liter engine makes just 276 hp, 2,976 lbs light weight means zero - 60 mph in around 5.5 seconds. So, once the supercharger's added in the mix, the power should be around 350 hp, and zero to sixty mph should be under 5 seconds.

Evora won’t come in America until the end of 2009, and Evora SC would not be on the home market in England at least until 2011. The cost premium for that supercharger unit should add 20 to 30 % to the Evora’s £45,000 estimated base price (around 68,000 Dollars at direct present rates.)
