The Auto Show in New York has a really odd placement. And... by the time of that event, most of the carmakers have revealed already their great releases for the present year plus are waiting for those shows in the fall (Frankfurt/Paris) teasing the huge releases for the upcoming year. So 1 thing that became great deal coming out of the event is the World Car of the Year Awards.
Back in January, they were eleven finalists, and the jury narrowed now the field to 3:
Volkswagen Golf VI
There are sub-categories also, and 1 that we are interested in particularly are the 3 finalists - the performance auto of this year: Corvette ZR1, Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 Carrera. For the eco-friendly, the green car finalists are: Honda FCX Clarity, Mitsubishi iMiEV, Toyota iQ. Best design nominations to: Citroen C5, Fiat 500, Jaguar XF.
The winners will be called on April 9th.
