New images of GT1 Corvette Championship Edition

Chevrolet is using the race 12 Hours of Sebring to show off the brand new Corvette GT1 Championship Edition model. This makes lot of sense if you consider this limited variant is commemorating the victories of Corvette C6.R in the GT1 class at the racing of Le Mans series.

The GT1 package point is to build the look-alike of streetable Vetts that are the race-only autos. Some wrap details include graphics - C6.R-inspired having Corvette Racing mascot 'Jake' plus driver flags, ZR1-mode body, chrome wheels, complete width spoiler and engine cover (special) having yellow Corvette lettering and carbon pattern. The available colors will be yellow + black trim or this: black presenting yellow trim.

The package pricing will be 65,310 Dollars for the coupe 4LT, 71,815 Dollars for the convertible 4LT, and for the 2LZ Z06 $86,385 . Although this appears a little steep for a package look (about 7,500 Dollars premium for the convertible and coupe, and for the Z06 around $5,000), it does buy some exclusivity also. Chevrolet just plans on selling one hundred of each colour in every body style (600 autos total).
