Chrysler recalls Dodge Ram 2008-09, Dodge Journey 2009

The Dodge Journey and Dodge Ram are 2 of newest units made by Chrysler, but both cars are being now recalled by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). The recalls are affecting the Dodge Ram 2008-2009 and the Dodge Journey 2009, although all these recalls aren't related.

The recall of Dodge's Ram involves 72,136 heavy- and light-duties units made in 2008 - 2009. This recall has a reason, obviously: the windshield motor wiper assembly is faulty, it allows water intrusion. If the water touches the wiper motor, then its wipers can fail, making visibility smaller.

Separately, Chrysler's recalling also 16,852 2009 unit year crossovers Dodge Journey. This recall impacts all the Journey units not equipped with the optional auxiliary 115 volt power outlet. NHTSA says the unused circuit there, it could very well corrode, leading to fire eventually. No injuries or accidents have are linked to these recalls here.
