Mercedes will not reveal an AMG E63 Coupe

Although Mercedes already has invested money and time in the AMG variant of the all-new E-Class sedan model, it would not spread the price over on the next coupe variant. The culprit is that: Mercedes is the owner of the lineup.

The manufacturer has some spillover from splitting the line between sedan and coupe with the CLS-Class. Some Mercedes official reported to Autocar, 'We had a good look where it (E63 AMG Coupe) would fit into the line-up and eventually came to the conclusion it would be too close to the CLS63 AMG, both in positioning and price'.

So the fighter BMW M3 now in the lineup of Mercedes will be therefor slightly bigger CLS-Class. The upcoming-gen of the CLS63 AMG unit should make its 1st appearance in 2010 presenting a V8 twin-turbo.
