More Chrysler cars could follow Viper to the auto graveyard

The Chapter 11 Chrysler filing could mean the end for Dodge Viper, but a recent report shows that even more products from Chrysler could stopped as a result of the bankruptcy filing in the company.

Dodge Viper may be on the way to the auto graveyard, but it won’t go to this journey alone. More nameplates of Chrysler could be cut, including the most popular units. A document reports that, Chrysler attempts on selling a number of the product lines. 'These lines include Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Viper and Dodge Ram and Dakota truck lines' the document stated.

Robert Manzo - Capstone Advisory Group affirms the Wrangler model might be start lookinf for find a new owner. 'A potential buyer would face significant additional investment costs in the range of $550 million to $1 billion'. Manzo affirmed of the nameplate of Jeep Wrangler in an affidavit. 'There are likely other significant costs that a potential buyer would have to incur in order to re-establish the brand. In addition, recent market experience reflected in the efforts to sell Saturn, Opel, Saab and Hummer brands indicates an extremely depressed market for stand-alone automotive brands'.
