Insight by Honda tops the sales charts in Japan

The new Insight from Honda become the 1st-ever hybrid topping the monthly Japanese sales charts. Despite the years of Prius hype at Toyota, the less-expensive Insight model - the cheapest on sale hybrid in that specific market - became the 1st-ever hybrid taking the top position previous month sales when 10,481 models were sold.

Beginning at 19,000 Dollars in Japan (mining 1.89 million yen), Insight topped fully all other all-new auto sales, this excludes minicars (autos having engine sizes that are smaller than 660 cc). 'The all-new Insight has been very well received by a wide range of customers due to its excellent environmental performance, easy-to-use packaging, light and comfortable driving and affordable pricing' the carmaker affirmed on a statement.

The brand new Insight model won’t have a direct, fresh rival until the Toyota Prius (redesigned) hits next week the showrooms, albeit with a higher cost. The Insight went on sale recently in America priced at 19,800 Dollars, making it also the hybrid offering that's least-expensive.
