Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport 16.4 production starts

The luxury automaker Bugatti's factory in Molsheim officially has begun its production of the extremely exclusive 16.4 Grand Sport Veyron unit. The open air limited edition super auto will have only a of 150 models run, 30 of them already spoken.

Bugatti is quite selective when it comes of inviting some members of their public in their fabulous ownership club; just a few will have the great chance of buying one. So, like that fixed roof variant, the Grand Sport runs with the same W16 quad turbo that makes 1001 HP. The top Veyeron targa is capable of reaching a 252 MPH top speed, or 223 MPH having no roof. Its special umbrella can replace all its the roof panel if a sudden rainstorm appears, however if you go over 200 MPH probably it's not recommended.

The very 1st deliveries to the clients will be in July costing 1.4 Million Euro, around 1.9 Million Dollars. 'When I had the chance to test-drive the new Grand Sport for the first time myself, I was filled with excitement' affirmed Pierre Henri Raphanel, the Pilot official for Bugatti, 'as soon I shifted into second gear, I knew this was a completely different car. I could immediately feel the difference. Even with the roof still on, in the tips of my fingers and at the base of my spine everything was more present, more intimate. More precise with less understeer, almost as if you had taken away some filters from the suspension and the steering'. The ex winner of Le Mans has driven more kilometers probably in a Veyron model than anyone else, showing the auto to numerous clients and to the press. If you take off its roof 'the excitement comes directly from the engine – giving you the feeling that you had a horsepower factory just thirty centimeters behind your head, trying to suck you up and swallow you' Pierre Henri Raphanel raves.
